Support for ongoing higher education

GMCTF is aware that across Sudan, higher education has been entirely disrupted by the current conflict. The effect of this on the lives and hopes of a generation of young Sudanese is of great concern.  

We usually fund between one and three organisations per year with grants of varying amounts towards existing initiatives - either in Sudan or in neighbouring countries – that support continued learning for university students displaced from Sudan.

We only fund organisations based in the United Kingdom (UK) that:

• are registered as charities with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Charity Commission), the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and/or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI); and

• are delivering educational work in Sudan or South Sudan or in neighbouring countries to support continued learning for university students displaced from Sudan.

We cannot consider requests to initiate or fully fund services or activities but we welcome enquiries from eligible charities seeking a contribution towards existing provision.
